June 24th 2007 seems like a dream.something that would happen in a movie.something that would happen to a gorgeous girl.
but, it happened to me. after all of these months...
I was sitting in bible study and Lauren and i would knock on the tables and then say stuff to each other.
me:knock. 4 days till my birthday.
Lauren:knock.really?
and so forth.
Jerry: what is this Morse code?
me:laughs hysterically.like an idiot.
Lauren: knock. you do know that Jerry likes you?
I nod. but inside:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.I thought I was doing the right thing. I mean, wasn't it just months before when she confessed to everyone else? I thought he already knew, so it was only a matter of time when he asks me out or something.
She'd always do that. tease us when we sat next to each other, and I'd just ignore it. or play it off. I really just assumed he knew the truth. Obviously not. Because nothing happened. And it was my fault.

Around a month later, in July, the youth group ( Jerry, Marcus, Alex, Joe, and I) went to Asheville for a Lutheran Conference- Higher Things. The last night, all of us except Alex, sat on rocks and basically talked about everything. Then Lauren called. I talked to her. Then Joe talked to her.
After Joe was done, she goes, "Jerry likes Alex". I quickly looked over to him, he shrugged.
Then marc said something and someone called out "So? marc likes ally!"
we just looked at each other but i shook it off..
I couldn't wrap my mind about it. Sure, they talked alot the whole trip about cats and food, but he did still act like he liked me, right?
I knew it was true though.
Well. You know how the game goes right?
