a whole new world.

we were coming out of walmart today, and there are train tracks right along that road where trains used to go by. & i've always passed them, but today i looked at them for a moment and was thinking what it would be like riding on those train tracks.

riding on a train hundreds of years ago. imagining my ancestors riding on them.picturing me hundreds of years ago riding on them. trees and God's beauty surrounding them, instead of the bright lights and buildings today.

you would think that life back then was hard without dishwashers and dryers and stores to buy your bread instead of making it from scratch. but perhaps it was more fun. you did your chores, ate, played outside and that was that. taking care of the animals could be more a pleasure than work. family was close knit & nothing stood in your way of having good quality fun outside.

hanging up your clothes to dry could serve as a daily game. who could get more clothes on the line first? or who could bake the biggest batch of bread?

now it's stuffing the dishes quickly so you don't miss your favorite t.v.show. counting as going outside as playing video games out in a shed in the back yard.

it'd be interesting to live in a world of practically everyone owning a farm and getting on a train to go see grandma and grandpa. to look out the window and see the sunshine peeking through the trees instead of looking down a road of mcdonalds and walmart's.
